In the 24th match of the "TOPsport A league" round between Telšiai's "Džiugas" and "Panevėžys," the spectators witnessed a goal spectacle, ending in a high-scoring draw with a result of 3:3 (1:2).

The Telšiai team started the match actively – in the very first moments, a dangerous shot by Leif Estevez was blocked by the visitors' defenders, and Hirotaka Yamada failed to connect properly with the ball. Just a few minutes later, "Panevėžys" responded with a dangerous set piece – Linas Klimavičius's shot was deflected off the goal line by the home team's player.

In the 6th minute, Argentine Nicolas Gorobsovas lost the ball at the edge of the penalty area. Taking advantage of the mistake, Lukas Ankudinovas intercepted the ball and sent it into the net defended by Emilio Timburas.

Immediately after conceding the goal, the players from Panevėžys had an excellent opportunity to equalize, but Federico Palacios shot just wide of the goal.

Midway through the half, Telšiai's attacking leader Nino Noordanus shot from outside the penalty area, but the ball was successfully deflected by E. Timburas.

In the 31st minute, the Lithuanian champions converted one of their chances – during a positional attack, L. Klimavičius scored with a header after getting into the opponent's penalty area. This marked the first accurate shot of the center-back in this season.

At the very end of the first half, Noelis Mbo won a physical duel against an opponent, passed the ball to Ernest Veliulis, who then put the players from Panevėžys ahead.

The second half of the match began according to the hosts' script – Džiugas Aleksa passed the ball to L. Estevez, who restored balance in the match – 2:2. After a few more minutes, the Džiugas team had a chance to take the lead, but Meinardas Mikulėnas initially misfired on the ball and then also missed the goal.

The 75th minute was marked by an impressive long-range shot from Jeffrey Sarpong. Having scored his first goal of the season, he once again put the visitors ahead, but that was still not the end.

The goal spectacle continued – Christian Bella, who appeared on the pitch after substitution, sent the ball into the far corner of E. Timburas’s goal and gifted the team with a point.

Having secured the point, the players from Telšiai remain in fourth place, while "Panevėžys" caught up with Marijampolė's "Sūduva," who are in ninth place.
