"Espanyol" Struggling in Spain Changed Coach

Barselonos "Espanyol" team had a coaching change - David Gallego was dismissed from his duties and was replaced by Pablo Machin.

47-year-old Gallego took over "Espanyol" this summer. He worked in the club's academy for many years, so after Rubi's departure he was given a chance.

D. Gallego did not pass the first serious test of his career - "Espanyol" is second to last in the Spanish league after eight rounds. The Catalans have only won one game and suffered five defeats.

"Espanyol" is also competing in the UEFA Europa League this season, where after two rounds they have won one game and drawn one.

P. Machin returns to the coach's seat after almost half a year break - he was dismissed from his duties as the coach of "Sevilla" in March.

Earlier, the 44-year-old football specialist also worked in "Numancia" and "Girona" teams.
