Eternal construction: Serious danger threatens Šeškinė Stadium again © JumpStory

Soccer fans may once again be disappointed with the promises of politicians and companies in building the national stadium in Vilnius. According to LNK news, the deadline for demolishing the remains of previous constructions on the site has almost doubled - it was initially planned to be done in four months, but now it will take at least seven. The foundation of the future stadium has also not been laid. The municipality stated that the rising costs of materials may significantly increase the already not cheap project, whose initial value was 160 million euros. It is worth reminding that over the past three decades, about 100 million litas have been invested in the currently snow-covered structures.
