On Monday, the draw for the first knockout stage of the Europa League took place in Nyon (Switzerland).
The „Roma“ team will face a tough opponent - the Rotterdam „Feyenoord“ club, which was defeated in the final of the Conference League a couple of years ago.
Another „Serie A“ representative, „Milan“, will compete in a two-game series against the seemingly weak French team „Rennes“, while the Istanbul „Galatasaray“ stars will try to overcome the barrier of „Sparta“ in Prague.
First round draw of the Europa League knockout stage:
„Feyenoord“ - „Roma“
„Lens“ - „Freiburg“
„Benfica“ - „Toulouse“
„Galatasaray“ - „Sparta“
„Milan“ - „Rennes“
„Young Boys“ - „Sporting“
„Braga“ - „Qarabag“
„Šachtar“ - „Marseille“
The matches will be played on February 15 and 22. In March, the quarterfinal stage will begin, where the teams that finished first in their groups in the Europa League will join.
The final will be played in Dublin Arena on May 22.
