EURO 2016 draw: Group E Belgium, Italy and Sweden

Today the draw ceremony for the 2016 European Football Championship took place. During it the teams were revealed which will compete in the group stage.

The toughest competition for the first place is expected in Group E, where Italy and Sweden will be alongside Belgium. Also in their group will be the team of Ireland, which should be the most disappointed with the draw.

It won't be easy also for the Spanish team, the winners of the last European Championship, who landed in Group D. There they will face Croatia, Czech Republic, and Turkey.

The hosts of the championship shouldn't complain about the draw. In Group A, where France will play, Switzerland, Romania, and Albania are featured.

England, who secured a hundred percent of the points in the qualifying matches, landed in Group B. Also playing in this group will be Russia, Slovakia, and Wales.

The Polish team, in Group C, will play with their neighbors - Germany and Ukraine. The last team in this group is Northern Ireland.

The last group, F, will consist of Portugal, Austria, Hungary, and Iceland.

The championship will be opened by the duel between the teams of France and Romania.

The group stage matches will take place from June 10-22, and the top two teams in each group as well as the four best third-placed teams will advance to the round of sixteen.

The draw:

Group A: France, Switzerland, Romania, Albania.

Group B: England, Russia, Slovakia, Wales.

Group C: Germany, Ukraine, Poland, Northern Ireland.

Group D: Spain, Croatia, Czech Republic, Turkey.

Group E: Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Ireland.

Group F: Portugal, Austria, Hungary, Iceland.
