The Republic of Georgia - a impressive defeat for the local team.

In the European Championship qualifier match, Georgia had to admit Spain's advantage with a score of 1:7.

After the first half, the champions of the Nations League were leading 4:0 - with two goals scored by Alvaro Morata, one added by Dani Olmo, and Georgian center-back Solomon Kvirkvelia scoring an own goal.

At the beginning of the second half, Giorgi Chakvetadze reduced the deficit.

In the 65th minute, the four-goal difference was restored - with the visiting captain Alvaro Morata completing his "hat-trick". Soon after, Nico Williams also scored a goal.

In the 74th minute, a special moment occurred. Lamine Yamal made his debut for the Spanish team and scored a goal - making it 1:7.

Georgia had their strongest lineup in this match, featuring Giorgi Mamardashvili, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Georges Mikautadze. 

Spain (6 points in 3 matches) climbed to second place in Group A of the Euro 2020 qualifiers. Scotland is in first place with 12 points.
