EURO 2024: Netherlands national team snatches victory against Poles

On the third day of the European Championship, the national teams of Poland and the Netherlands met.

The Dutch started the match more actively, but in the 16th minute, Polish striker Adam Buksa scored with a header after a corner kick.

In the 29th minute, Cody Gakpo equalized the score.

In the second half, the Netherlands continued to create numerous dangerous moments, but the winning goal was only scored towards the end of the match.

In the 83rd minute, the "Oranje" extended their lead to 2:1 after a substitute striker Wout Weghorst appeared in the penalty area.

Throughout the remaining time, the Polish national team had a couple of chances to equalize the score, but the opponent's goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen performed fantastically.

In the other matches of this group, France and Austria will meet tomorrow.
