EURO Qualifiers: Belgians "sub-bombed" San Marino, Dutch survived at the very end of the match

On Thursday, the 6th and 7th round matches of the 2020 European Championship qualifiers were played.

Impressively, Belgium national team secured a victory and a ticket to next year's continental championships, defeating San Marino footballers at home - 9:0.

Belgians were already leading 6:0 after the first half. Goals were scored by Nacer Chadli, Toby Alderweireld, Youri Tielemans, Romelu Lukaku who scored twice, and an own goal by the opponent.

In the second half, substitutes Christian Benteke and Yari Verschaeren left their mark on the field. The final touch was made by Timothy Castagne at the end of the match.

Belgium has won seven out of seven possible victories in their group and will not fall below second place.

An important victory at home was achieved by the Netherlands team, which managed to save the match against Northern Ireland only in extra time.

In the 75th minute, Josh Magennis put the visitors ahead, but the score was equalized by Memphis Depay after five minutes. In the 91st minute, the Dutch took the lead with a goal from Luuk de Jong. Depay scored another goal during the remaining added time.

In Group C, all three teams - Netherlands, Germany, and Northern Ireland - have 12 points each, although the latter have played one more match.

The remaining matches ended with victories for Cyprus, Austria, Croatia, Poland, Macedonia, and Russia. Two matches ended in a draw.
