Represented by two Lithuanians, the Edinburgh "Hearts" club honorably ended their performance in the Europa League football tournament.

In the second leg of the knockout matches, "Hearts" ended in a 1-1 draw (0-0) as guests against the English "Liverpool" team. Marius Žaliūkas played the full match, while Arvydas Novikovas was substituted by Dale Carrick in the 76th minute.

In the first leg match at their home stadium, the "Hearts" footballers lost 0-1 (0-0) a week ago, but in Liverpool, after a precise shot by David Templeton in the 85th minute of the second half, the overall result of the match was level at 1-1. Unfortunately, extra time was not needed as Luis Suarez scored the winning goal soon after (88th minute).

The compositions of the European football league groups will be determined today, after the drawing in Monaco.
