Finally, the battles of the Europa League quarter-finals have begun, and they were not lacking in dramatic results and fierce fights.
London's "Arsenal" achieved one of the easiest victories, defeating Moscow's CSKA 4:1.
"Arsenal" opened the scoring with Aaron Ramsey's goal in the 9th minute, but Aleksandr Golovin equalized in the 15th minute.
However, Alexandre Lacazette converted a penalty in the 23rd minute, A. Ramsey scored again in the 28th minute, and A. Lacazette scored his second goal just 7 minutes later.
Madrid's "Atletico" also secured a comfortable victory, beating "Sporting" 2:0.
"Atletico" took the lead in the first minute with a goal from Koke. Antoine Griezmann scored the second goal of the match in the 40th minute.
"Lazio" also achieved a convincing victory, defeating Salzburg's "Red Bull" 4:2.
"Lazio" took the lead in the 8th minute with a goal from Senad Lulic, but Valon Berisha's goal in the 30th minute leveled the score.
After the break, Marco Parolo scored, but in the 71st minute, "Red Bull" equalized again through Takumi Minamino.
However, in the 74th and 76th minutes, "Lazio" scored two goals and defeated the guests from Austria.
The most intriguing match remains between "RB Leipzig" and "Marseille." "RB Leipzig" managed to defeat their opponents from France 1:0.
Timo Werner scored the winning goal in these matches, which came during added time in the first half.
