In the UEFA Europa League, Istanbul's "Besiktas" club decisively defeated Bilbao's "Athletic" at home, with a score of 4:1.

This was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first match at the helm of the Turkish team.

In the 17th minute, the hosts were led ahead by Milot Rashica.

In the 45th minute, Unai Gómez equalized the score.

In the 60th minute, M. Rashica put "Besiktas" ahead again, completing a brace.

In the 77th minute and in stoppage time (90+2), goals for the hosts were scored by Rafa Silva and Joao Mario, who converted a penalty.

After the victory, Istanbul "Besiktas" shares 14th-18th places with 9 points, while "Athletic" shares 1st-2nd positions with Roma's "Lazio" team with 16 points.
