Europa League semi-finals: "Napoli" and "Dnipro" played evenly, while "Sevilla" crushed "Fiorentina"

As usual, after the end of the UEFA Champions League battles, the teams fighting for the Europa League cup stepped onto the field last night.

In the first semi-final, "Napoli" hosted "Dnipro" from Dnepropetrovsk. The Italians eliminated the "Wolfsburg" in the quarter-finals with a pounding victory, considered one of the favorites of the tournament, and are also fighting for medals in the "Serie A" championship. Meanwhile, the visitors from Ukraine are trailing in their national championship behind the already eliminated from the Europa League Kyiv's "Dynamo". However, the victory against the top team of the Belgian league, Brugge's "Club", made the Napoli fans think only about the fierce battle. That's exactly what the fans in Naples saw.

Although the hosts had a clear territorial advantage in the first half, they failed to score. The first goal of the match came in the 50th minute when David Lopez scored after a precise pass from Lorenzo Insigne.

Rafa Benitez's disciples did not stop attacking and having a minimum advantage, but in the 81st minute a goal fell into their own net. The author of this goal was Yevhen Seleznyov. So, the duel in Italy ended peacefully, and the team heading to the final will only be determined after a week.

Meanwhile, in the other match, where the champions defending their title, the footballers of "Sevilla" fought on their field with another Italian club, Fiorentina from Florence, there are fewer doubts about who will compete for the cup. The "Viola", not showing good form lately, failed to hold up in Spain. "Sevilla", who crossed the barrier of the strongest Russian team Zenit from St. Petersburg in the previous stage, once again proved capable of fighting for a ticket to the Champions League.

Aleix Vidal shone in the second semi-final of the evening, scoring a double and providing an assist to Kevin Gameiro. However, the Italian representatives controlled the ball longer and made more shots towards the goal, but they had to pull it out of their own net even three times.

Vidal led Sevilla's eleven ahead in the 17th minute, then doubled the lead not even ten minutes into the second half, and Gameiro secured the victory in the 75th minute.
