In the European Championship qualifiers tournament on Wednesday, two matches were played.

Niko Kranjčar's brace and an assist for Nikola Kalinić led to an easy 3-0 victory for the Croatian national team over Malta.

Croatia has gathered 10 points in 4 matches and is currently at the top of the group, leading Greece by two points. Malta has yet to earn any points.

Finland achieved an even easier victory in Group E, humiliating San Marino 8-0 in front of their own fans.

Mikael Forssell was the most productive player among the hosts, scoring three goals. Kasper Hamalainen scored twice, while Mika Vayrynen, still showing excellent form at the age of 39, Jari Litmanen, and Roni Porokara each scored once.

This was the first victory and the first points overall for Finland, who are currently in second to last place in the group, behind Moldova by 3 points.

Meanwhile, San Marino is in last place and can only boast an exceptional goal ratio of 0:29.
