English clubs spent a record 2.24 billion euros on new players, while selling players for 884.81 million euros (-1.35 billion euros). In second place in terms of spending (749 million euros) were representatives of the Serie A, who managed to maintain a positive balance (+8 million euros) by making sales for a total of 757 million euros.
