European Judo Federation: S. Ramos' actions in our sport are not allowed

After last Saturday's Champions League final between the teams of "Real" and "Liverpool," much talk has surrounded the collision between Sergio Ramos and Mohamed Salah, after which the Egyptian suffered an injury and was forced to end the match. Some call this action accidental and part of football, while to others it seemed like a judo-like move.

After the final, without causing a stir, the European Judo Federation also spoke out. In their official Twitter account, they emphasized that such an action is not allowed in their sport.

"Waki-gatame" (arm lock) is a dangerous technique. That's why we do not allow it in Judo when transitioning to "ne-waza" (ground techniques). What do you think about the action that took place in the Champions League final?

After the Champions League final, a petition was started demanding punishment for S. Ramos, and nearly half a million people have already signed it. Additionally, an Egyptian lawyer has filed a lawsuit against the player seeking to recover one billion euros.
