The European national football teams planned to demonstrate solidarity and express support for the LGBT community during the World Cup in Qatar.

However, the initial plans have been thwarted.

As reported by "Bild", the national teams of Germany, England, and other countries could already receive warnings from FIFA that if their captains wear "One Love" armbands, the match referee could show them yellow cards before the start of the match.

Homosexuality is a crime in Qatar and can result in locals being imprisoned for several years.

It is said that if during the World Cup, national team captains wear "One Love" armbands, this action could be "not approved" by FIFA and likely result in sanctions.
