After a 1-1 draw against "Las Palmas", the away team's coach Ernesto Valverde subtly hinted at the poor performance of the referees.
The leaders of "La Liga" had taken the lead 1-0, but Jonathan Calleri equalized accurately from the penalty spot.
"This episode was painful for us, because we felt that the result was leveled due to an invisible penalty.
After this episode, the opponents defended well, and we tried to score. Unfortunately, my players lacked consistency and that led to such a result," said Valverde.
"I do not want to analyze the refereeing. During the breaks between halves, I spoke to the referee about the opposing goalkeeper touching the ball with his hand outside the penalty area.
Speaking about the punishment for us, in the locker room, nobody understood why we were penalized."
