Liverpool's "Everton" has announced that they have acquired Nathangelo Markelo, a member of the U-18 national team of the Netherlands, who is currently playing for the "Volendam" club in the second division of the Netherlands.
This central defender has been linked to the "Toffees" for some time now, and has now signed a three-year contract with the club.
He is considered one of the most promising Dutch players, but will start his career in England by playing for Everton U-23 team.
"Being an Everton player is a great feeling," Markelo told the club's official website. "It is a great opportunity for me, and I am already enjoying my time here."
"I heard something about it roughly two weeks after the tournament and felt very happy. I immediately decided that I wanted to move to Everton."
"Now I am looking forward to my season here. I have three years ahead of me and hope to get a lot of playing time, develop as a player, and then continue to progress towards the first team."
