"Everton" and "Leicester" progress to the next stage of the English League Cup (+ LETTERS)

On Wednesday, five "Premier" league clubs will compete in the second round of the English League Cup.

Liverpool's "Everton" team secured a spot in the next round after defeating "Lincoln" players in a tough match. The goals were scored by Lucas Digne, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Alex Iwobi, and Richarlison.

The team of "Burnley" experienced the taste of defeat, losing at home to the team of "Sunderland."

"Bournemouth" also faced difficulties at home, but eventually secured a spot in the next round after an 11-meter penalty shootout.

In another match, two "Premier" league clubs faced each other. "Newcastle" competed against "Leicester," and the winner was determined only after a penalty shootout.

James Maddison put "Leicester" ahead in the 34th minute, but Yoshinori Muto equalized at the beginning of the second half, leading the match to a penalty shootout.

The fortunes smiled on the "Leicester" team during the penalty shootout.
