On Saturday evening, another two matches of the 12th round of the English Premier League were played. Recently struggling Liverpool's Everton footballers at home narrowly defeated London's Chelsea team with a score of 1:0. The only goal of the match came in the 22nd minute when Everton's captain Gylfi Sigurdsson converted a penalty kick. Chelsea, after conceding the goal, took control of the game and had several excellent opportunities to equalize, but failed to capitalize on them. This victory allowed Everton to climb to seventh place in the league standings.
