Žurnalist David Ornstein claims that Everton is in talks to acquire Burnley forward Maxwell Cornet. It is believed that both clubs are in serious discussions and, although no agreement has been reached yet, the negotiations are ongoing. Other clubs are also interested in the footballer, but at the moment Everton is the most likely destination for the 25-year-old player's next career move. He could become Everton's second signing this summer after they acquired former defender James Tarkowski. Cornet played 29 games for Burnley last season, scoring 9 goals and providing 2 assists.
