"Everton" punished "Chelsea", "Liverpool" barely missed out on "Fulham"

On Sunday, two more matches of the 31st round were played in the English Premier League.

The title contenders, Liverpool, faced Fulham in an away match. Jurgen Klopp's players did not have an easy time at the opponent's stadium and only celebrated victory after a tough battle with a 2-1 result.

In the 26th minute, Sadio Mane put Liverpool ahead. In the first half, the Reds completely dominated possession and did not allow any chances for the hosts.

However, in the second half, Liverpool's rhythm dropped, so Fulham started to play more aggressively towards the opponents' goal.

In the 74th minute, Liverpool was unexpectedly punished by Fulham when Virgil van Dijk's attempt to head the ball away from Alisson resulted in Ryan Babel equalizing the score.

But Liverpool's spirits were not dampened by the opponent's goal - in the 81st minute, a penalty kick was awarded to Fulham, and James Milner successfully converted it, bringing the team the much-needed three points.

After the victory, Liverpool returned to the top position at least until the international break. Fulham remains in second to last place.

In other matches, Liverpool's Everton delighted their fans with a win against Chelsea in front of their own supporters. The Toffees, who had some problems in the first half, struck in the second half.

In the 49th minute, Richarlison put Everton ahead, and in the 72nd minute, Gylfi Sigurdsson secured the victory.

Chelsea remains in sixth place, while Everton rises to 11th place.
