On Monday, Liverpool's Everton team ended their streak of failures in the English Premier League. The Toffees defeated London's Arsenal with a score of 2:1 in the last 15th round match at home. The first half ended intriguingly. In the 44th minute, Richarlison sent the ball into Arsenal's goal, but after VAR review, it was ruled out for offside. Just a few minutes later, however, a goal, this time following the rules, was scored into Everton's goal by Martin Odegaard. In the 58th minute, Richarlison again sent the ball into the visitors' goal, but once again, after VAR review, a minimal offside was detected. However, in the 79th minute, the Brazilian finally scored his goal, and the score became equal - 1:1. In added time by the referee, the hosts extended their lead with a fantastic strike from Demarai Gray. After this opportunity, Everton climbed to the 12th position in the league table, while Arsenal missed the chance to surpass Manchester United and Tottenham teams.
