French national team defender Patrice Evra did not spare criticism for the defensive football shown by the England team.
The battle of the eleven, which ended in a 1-1 draw, reminded Evra of the Champions League semi-final between London's Chelsea and Barcelona clubs.
"I think we played much better than the English, but we had to settle for a draw," said the Frenchman. "We are not satisfied with that."
He continued: "All of this really reminded me of the Champions League and Chelsea's battle against Barcelona. Sometimes it looked like there were at least 15 players on their field. People will laugh and hope for a different style of play from the England team, but it won't matter if this style helps win the tournament."
France's next match will be against the host country Ukraine on June 15.
