Spain's "Primera" league started its second round on Friday, with one round of matches played.
Two mid-table Spanish teams clashed at the "El Madrigal" stadium - Villarreal, supported by their fans, and Barcelona's Espanyol. The visitors from Catalonia took the lead, but the "Yellow Submarine" fought back and secured a 3-1 victory.
In the 5th minute, Espanyol took the lead with a goal from Felipe Caicedo, but in the second half Villarreal managed to equalize.
In the 67th minute, Villarreal's new player Roberto Soldado leveled the score, and at the end of the match, Cedric Bakambu's brace earned Villarreal three important points. Worth mentioning is that both assists for the goals were made by R. Soldado.
This is Villarreal's first victory in this Primera season. Meanwhile, Espanyol, after a win against Getafe, tasted their first defeat.
