F. Cannavaro: "In Europe, football will have to wait a few more months"

Fabio Cannavaro finds it difficult to imagine that the season in Europe could be extended until the beginning of summer.

Most of the leagues in the Old Continent have postponed their championships indefinitely. In England, for example, the season is expected to be extended until April 30th, but F. Cannavaro, working in China, cannot imagine that.

"No one knows what will happen in the world in a month," the Italian said in an interview with "COPE" radio. "I think that in Italy and Spain the seasons will end very late."

"I hardly see how it would be possible to play football in Europe before the end of the season (in May)," F. Cannavaro continued.

The former world champion, working in Guangzhou, also spoke about life in China.

"The virus has already been controlled in my city, so everyone is returning to normal life. There are no restrictions, except for self-isolation. My quarantine ends in two days and then I will return to work.

The only thing Europeans should learn from the Chinese is the understanding of staying at home. There is no other way to overcome this virus," F. Cannavaro shared his experience.
