The new Netherlands national team coach Frank De Boer contributed to the team's excellent performance at the 2010 World Cup when they finished in second place. Back then, as part of the coaching staff, the specialist worked closely with legends such as Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder, but now he insists that the talent of the 2020 squad surpasses those athletes. "I see similarities, but the current players are slightly better. W. Sneijder and A. Robben were in their best form, we had R. van der Vaart, M. van Bommel, and N. de Jong. We were very solid, just like we are now," explained F. De Boer. "I am not a copy of Ronald Koeman, but there are some similarities. I want to continue following the path he started."
