Amsterdam's "Ajax" star Frenkie de Jong believes that the team has a chance to reach the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, but understands that Turin's "Juventus" is the favorite.
The Champions League quarter-final draw determined that "Ajax", who eliminated the three-time European champions in the previous round, will face "Juventus".
"Juventus" is one of the strongest opponents we could have gotten," de Jong said after the draw.
"I saw their match against 'Atletico', in which they played very well. I remember that when I was still 10 or 12 years old, Cristiano Ronaldo was already one of the best players in the world. I'm really looking forward to meeting him. It will be interesting to play against him in reality.
"Juventus" is considered the favorite, but Madrid's "Real" was also seen as such before the match against us. I believe we have a chance," the Dutchman affirmed.
The first leg will take place in Amsterdam, with the return match heading back to Turin.
