F. Lampard after a painful poke in Newcastle: "We lack the 'killer instinct'"

"After an unexpected loss in the match against Newcastle, Frank Lampard criticized his team's attacking performance.

Despite dominating the entire match with the ball and not allowing the opponents to create chances, Chelsea suffered a painful blow in added time when Newcastle scored the only winning goal after their first real opportunity.

"I don't always pay attention to statistics, but this match was completely in our hands - we simply dominated," said Lampard.

"If I remember correctly, they had three headers throughout the entire match, and it was precisely after one of them that the goal was scored. In the second half, they didn't even come close to our penalty area, while we completely dominated and created opportunities near their goal.

"We know our main problem - goals. We don't score enough to create an advantage in the league table. We have had such situations this season, especially when playing at home. We play quite well, but we just can't score, and the opponents, creating one chance, win the match.

"In attack, we need to play much more ruthlessly. I don't know if we can put more work in during training. We simply need a 'killer instinct.' We need to score more goals from various situations if we want to be where we need to be," shared Lampard with his thoughts.
