London's "Chelsea" team lost their leader Eden Hazard last summer, who went to Madrid's "Real", but it was expected that at least partly the loss of the Belgian would be compensated by newcomer Christian Pulisic.
However, the start of the 21-year-old American in the ranks of the "aristocrats" is not easy and in the "Premier League" he has only played five games so far, during which he managed to make two assists.
There were even reports in the foreign media that "Chelsea" could try to loan out C. Pulisic during the January transfer window, but such rumors were denied by Frank Lampard himself.
"We don't have such plans. Christian was a big club purchase, but he has only recently turned 21, and there is immense competition in our team.
Before the last game, I said that I constantly face problems when choosing the starting lineup. Players help me make decisions with their performances in training sessions or matches.
We must protect Christian, as he is very young. He, like all other players on the team, must continue to work hard in training, improve, and understand the direction in which the club wants to go," Lampard said while speaking to journalists.
