F. Lampard: "Kepa must prove that he is worthy to return to the role of the main goalkeeper"

Frank Lampard is not inclined to make concessions to any footballer from London's Chelsea team.

Speaking about Kepa's situation, who has been watching the team's performances from the bench lately, Lampard stated that every player has the opportunity to regain lost position, but first must prove it in training.

The planet's most expensive goalkeeper did not play in the last few matches. This evening, the "Blues" will play against Liverpool in the FA Cup, so Kepa might get a new opportunity.

"Yes, Kepa is a candidate," Lampard said before the match at a press conference. "As I expected, he was professional all that time (when he didn't play), trained well, kept a 'cool' head, and supported the team. He really did his job excellently."

When asked if Kepa is still in his future plans, the strategist replied: "Yes, every player is a blacksmith of his journey in this club. Everything depends on your work in training and performance in matches."

"Our goal is to reduce the gap from the most powerful clubs. Nobody can relax when we lose, every day we have to push ourselves to the maximum.

It is obvious that there will be some considerations about the lineup in the summer. However, at this moment, no decisions have been made," Lampard added.
