Frank Lampard has extended a helping hand to his former club.

The returning manager will take over the team until the end of the season in the Premier League, with 9 games left to play for the "aristocrats". The Champions League season is also ongoing, with Real Madrid awaiting in the quarterfinals.

"It's great to be back. It was an easy decision for me," Lampard introduced himself at a press conference.

"This is my club. I'm proud to coach this club and always look forward to this opportunity. I'm ready to put in all the work, I have clear ideas of what I want to achieve during this period.

"From now on, everyone starts from a clean slate. When it comes to goals, there is no clear answer. We saw against Liverpool that a good team can be tactically prepared. I'll be here to instill in the players the need to score goals," Lampard spoke about the main team issue.

The coach also talked about his former player Mason Mount, who has recently struggled to find a place in the team's rotation.

"Mason Mount is a very important player for Chelsea. Mason, in my eyes, has always been a fantastic player. I know he has had problems with injuries, so we need to see what form he's in, but I know what I can get from Mason.

"We are Chelsea. We can't be in eleventh place," the club legend made a statement.

The "aristocrats" will face Wolverhampton in an away game on Saturday.
