I agreed to work at the Chelsea club, even though I knew a very difficult period was ahead. This team is not ready to fight for top positions. For a while, we couldn't buy players, so now there are a lot of newcomers and young footballers in our ranks. We need time and right now we just have to fight on the field," - said Lampard.
The Chelsea strategist also admitted that some players are not performing as expected. "We have players who are not playing as we expect. I myself was a footballer, so I know they will handle this situation," added the Englishman.
