Frank Lampard made his debut at the helm of Everton, and his pupils definitely did not disappoint in the first match. In the 4th round of the FA Cup, Everton easily beat Brentford 4:1. The game was dominated by attacking football, and Yerry Mina put Everton ahead in the 31st minute. Richarlison doubled the lead at the beginning of the second half, but a few minutes later Brentford scored a goal through Ivan Toney from the penalty spot. Later in the match, Mason Holgate and Andros Townsend scored precise shots. In another match, Manchester City crushed Fulham 4:1. And earlier there was a match where the year's sensation almost happened in English football. The 6th division team, Kidderminster Harriers, almost knocked West Ham out of the FA Cup, but West Ham saved themselves in the final minutes and won 2:1 away.
