Fernando Morientes believes that in the UEFA Champions League final, where two of his former teams will meet tonight, the favorite will be Real Madrid.
The "Royal" club will aim to win the strongest European tournament for the fourth time in the last five years and for the third time in a row. That is why their opponents should be wary of them.
However, the attacking trio of Liverpool, consisting of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino, has already impressed this season.
"I think the final will be very open," Morientes told "Marca".
"These are two teams that play attacking football, that like to take risks, that score goals and concede easily. The match will be very intriguing."
"When Real Madrid plays in the final, they are the favorites, especially since they have won the last two tournaments."
"This is an advantage for them. It is true that Liverpool will step onto the field with enthusiasm and a great history behind them, but even they know that Real Madrid are the favorites."
"Real is used to this situation. Nerves about not playing in the final (since 2007 - ed. note) could affect Liverpool.
The most important match of this season will start tonight at 21:45 local time in Lithuania.
