After turning 70 years old, Florentino Perez will continue to lead the Madrid "Real" club - the Spanish businessman has been elected as the team's president for another four years.
In the elections, F. Perez did not face any competition - there were no other candidates vying for this position, so F. Perez was automatically elected as the club president for the next term until 2021.
Just a few years ago, there were strong doubts about F. Perez's chances of staying in the club for another term, but the Spaniard regained the trust of the fans over the past seasons and now he is spoken of very favorably.
Fans have reason to rejoice - in January 2016, F. Perez appointed Zinedine Zidane as the head coach, who helped the club win five titles in just over a year and a half, including two Champions League trophies and the "La Liga" championship.
However, in recent days, unexpected news has shaken F. Perez's office - Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave the team. "Real" last paid more than 30 million euros for a new purchase in 2014, but if rumors about the Portuguese player's departure are confirmed, a hundred million investment in another player can be expected - it is believed to be Kylian Mbappe.
F. Perez has been leading the "Real" team since 2009. Also well known in the business world, the Spaniard served as the president of this team from 2000 to 2006.
