This summer, the Madrid club "Real" had set aside money for another newcomer.
The president of Madrid's "Real" club, Florentino Perez, revealed that he had been in negotiations with "Manchester United", but the deal could not be finalized due to contract details.
F. Perez also mentioned that for the same reasons, several years ago Robert Lewandowski could not join the club.
"There are several players who are simply not for sale," said the president of the "whites". "For several years in a row, we wanted Lewandowski, but nothing happened because he did not have a buyout clause in his contract, and Bayern did not want to sell him."
"This is a situation where you just can't do anything. The same thing happened with Pogba. We buy players when we see opportunities for them to be sold," continued F. Perez.
