33-year-old Bayern Munich veteran Franck Ribery has extended his contract with the German champions for years to come.
Struggling with injuries in recent seasons, the Frenchman is slowly returning to his old form. F. Ribery's contract with Bayern was set to expire next summer, but both the club and the player agreed to extend it for another year - until the summer of 2018.
In the past few years, F. Ribery has played only 45 matches and scored 11 goals for Bayern. This season, the winger has already appeared 12 times and provided nine assists.
"I am very happy to extend my contract with Bayern for another year," said F. Ribery. "This club and city have become my home. I want to play my remaining years in this team as successfully as possible."
F. Ribery joined Bayern in 2007. In total, the Frenchman has played 333 matches for Bayern and won 18 titles.
