F. Ribery: "We Were Not Afraid of the 'Liverpool' Team"

Next week, the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg match will be played between the teams "Bayern" and "Liverpool." The first leg match in England ended in a draw 0:0, so now the slight advantage is on the side of the German champions. Bayern's veteran Franck Ribery, in an interview with "Bild," emphasized that the team is looking forward to the second leg match with positive feelings. "We are positive and we are looking forward to the match at home. Liverpool has a strong team, but we are Bayern. We trust in our abilities and we are not afraid of the Liverpool team. If we fight and play as a team, then we have a good chance to advance to the quarterfinals," said F. Ribery. In the first leg match, F. Ribery started from the bench. The Frenchman admitted that playing in the Champions League is amazing, but the decision about his appearance on the field will be made by coach Niko Kovac. "The match against Liverpool is very important. I am extremely motivated. I have no health problems and I can play. However, the decision will be made by N. Kovac. Our relationship is very good and we trust each other," concluded the Frenchman. The Bayern vs. Liverpool match will be played on March 13.
