The coach of the Portuguese national team, Fernando Santos, is looking optimistically towards the upcoming European Championship.
His team reached the tournament in France by finishing first in Group I of the qualifying stage, where they secured seven wins and suffered one loss.
During a visit to the training base where the Portuguese are preparing for the championship matches, the strategist said he hopes his team will play in the final.
"The training base is booked until July 10 because we will play in the final in Paris," Santos said.
"We have reserved it until then and hope to stay. By the way, on the 11th day, I just want to go home - we will have a party before that."
The national team coach also added that neither training nor match conditions will influence the results, as they depend on the players.
