F. Santosas: C. Ronaldo - born to win

Portuguese national team is intensively preparing for the showdown for the "Euro 2016" crown. On Sunday at 22:00 Portugal will face the host France in the final, who eliminated the tournament favorites Germany.

There have been rumors in Portugal that this could be Cristiano Ronaldo's last match with the national team. But Portuguese coach Fernando Santos dismisses such talk. He is convinced that the 31-year-old Real Madrid star will continue to play for the team for a long time.

"On Sunday we have the final, so yes - it will be his final. But Cristiano himself will play for another 7 or 10 years. Sunday certainly won't be his last game", said F. Santos.

Cristiano Ronaldo is already the player with the most matches played for the Portuguese national team. He is also the top scorer for Portugal.

Cristiano Ronaldo is now missing one goal to surpass the legendary Michel Platini's European Championship goal record. Both C.Ronaldo and M.Platini now have 9 goals each.

"He was born to win. He always wants to be the best and even better. Over the years he has become who he is. Cristiano always wants to be better and better. When he fails, he gets angry at himself", said F. Santos about the success secret of one of the greatest footballers of our time.
