Portugal lost to the Serbian national team at home on Sunday and will have to compete in additional matches for a spot in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Despite the painful defeat, Portuguese coach Fernando Santos is confident that his team will travel to Qatar. "It seemed like everything would end well, but we couldn't maintain a positive result. The players did everything they could, but we were lacking a little. The Serbians were simply better. We will definitely be in Qatar. We didn't qualify for the championship in the most straightforward way, but we will be there. Today we didn't play as we should have, and I take responsibility for that," Santos said after the match.
