Another footballer has returned to the football club "Panevėžys" after a break. After reaching an agreement with the Plovdiv "Botev" team, 20-year-old forward Faustas Steponavičius will play for "Panevėžys" on loan for the upcoming season.

Until mid-2021, the Panevėžys native represented his hometown team and played two matches in the Lithuanian championship. Later, F. Steponavičius moved to the "Genoa" youth team and also played for Zagreb's "Jarun".

In 2023, the forward signed with Rīgas RFS and was loaned to Tukums "Tukums 2000" club. Last spring, the Panevėžys player shone with goals in the Latvian championship, and he was purchased by the "Botev" team, which loaned F. Steponavičius to Sofia's "Septemvri" last year.

At both clubs in the Bulgarian championship, the graduate of the "Panevėžys" football academy played 31 matches. Also, in 2023, he defended the honor of the Lithuanian national team twice.

"The reasons I returned to 'Panevėžys' are the lack of playing time, the desire to get back to myself, and to feel the love for what I do again. I was born in this city, so I had only this club in mind, where I would like to return."

"I will help as much as possible to achieve the highest results for the team in the championship and will return to myself as a player one hundred percent,"

fk-panevezys.lt reported F. Steponavičius to the website.
