London's "Chelsea" club won the English Football Association (FA) Cup for the seventh time in history, defeating "Liverpool" 2-1 in the famous "Wembley" stadium final.

The 'Blues' took the lead after 11 minutes, when Brazilian Ramires surged forward and sent the ball into the net after Jay Spearing's mistake in defense and overcoming Jose Enrique's resistance.

"Liverpool" took the initiative, but failed to create any real threat to the opponent's goal. Soon after the break, "Chelsea" took advantage and doubled their lead: Didier Drogba cleverly scored his second goal past Pepe Reina through Martin Skrtel's legs in the penalty area.

However, the 'Reds' did not give up, and Andy Carroll, who appeared on the field after a substitution, inspired Kenny Dalglish's team.

In the 64th minute, the Englishman deceived John Terry in the penalty area and scored, slightly reducing the lead and bringing back some intrigue, but a later episode caused even more controversy.

After a pass from Glen Johnson, Carroll headed towards the goal, and goalkeeper Petr Cech fantastically pushed the ball onto the crossbar with his fingertips. There was a dispute whether the ball crossed the goal line, but the goal was not awarded by the referee. In the video replay, it seemed that the officials were likely correct.

Despite the decisive onslaught from "Liverpool," "Chelsea" held on and won their first trophy of the season.
