FA Cup final - "Chelsea" triumph (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

In England, the 2017-18 football season ended on Saturday with the final match of the FA Cup.

Two well-acquainted clubs, London's "Chelsea" and "Manchester United," clashed in the final for the last season's trophy. After last year's failure, the "Blues" team triumphed in the tournament thanks to a goal by Eden Hazard.

The match started with caution - both teams didn't pose serious problems to goalkeepers Thibaut Courtois and David De Gea. The "Blues" were a bit more aggressive, but "United" didn't have major defensive issues.

The only goal that led to victory came in the 22nd minute, when Eden Hazard started a quick attack and went towards the goalkeeper alone. The Belgian intended to take a shot, but Phil Jones from behind fouled him accurately, earning a penalty kick for the opponents.

E. Hazard himself stepped up to take the penalty kick - the winger's foot didn't tremble, and his precise shot put the London team ahead.

In the first half, nothing more dangerous happened, so the battle moved to the next 45 minutes.

During them, the style of football was completely different - the "Red Devils" started dominating with the ball and pressing Antonio Conte's protégés more intensively.

Players like Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba, and Nemanja Matic had good chances to score, but T. Courtois "swallowed" everything that was possible.

In the remaining time, no more goals were scored, and the entire triumphant "Chelsea" team invaded the "Wembley" pitch.

For "Chelsea" club, this is their 7th FA Cup trophy. The "Red Devils" have competed in the final 20 times in total and had to settle for failure eight times.
