FA Cup: "Liverpool" had to battle "Shrewsbury" again

On Tuesday evening, the FA Cup replays of the round of sixteen were played. Clubs, not having shown superiority in the first match, had to once again sharpen their weapons.

"Liverpool" advanced to the quarterfinals after a tough battle, where they had to overcome "Shrewsbury" team from the third league - 1:0.

The first match in Shrewsbury ended in a 2:2 draw. The opponents at "Anfield" stadium managed to send the ball into the hosts' goal, but "Liverpool" was saved by VAR.

The only and winning goal was scored in the 75th minute when the guests' defender put the ball into his own net.

"The Reds" relied solely on youth in this match. In addition, the team was led by Neil Critchley, working in the academy, not Jurgen Klopp.

"Liverpool" will face "Chelsea" in the quarterfinals.

Also advancing to the next stage after the replays were "Derby County", "Newcastle", "Birmingham", and "Reading".

The last match of the round of sixteen will take place on Wednesday evening - "Tottenham" will meet "Southampton".
