FA Cup: "Man Utd" victory and C. Fabregas farewell to "Chelsea"

On Saturday, the third stage matches of the FA Cup were played. Most of the English Premier League clubs entered the competition.

Manchester United hosted the Reading team at home. The "Red Devils" did not shine with their offensive play, but they achieved victory with a convincing result - 2:0.

Both goals were scored in the first half - Juan Mata scored from the penalty spot first, and at the end of the half, Romelu Lukaku increased the lead.

In other matches that also started at 2:30 pm, Burnley and West Ham defeated their opponents, while Bournemouth fell to Brighton.

Matches starting at 5 pm included Chelsea defeating Nottingham 2-0 at home. Cesc Fabregas missed a penalty from 11 meters, but Alvaro Morata scored a double in the second half.

For C. Fabregas, this was his last match for the "Blues" club - emotionally he was escorted to the bench, as he will be joining Monaco next week.

In other matches, Liverpool's Everton outperformed Lincoln, Cardiff unexpectedly lost to Gillingham, Leeds eliminated a two-goal deficit and drew against Southampton.

In the match that started at 7:30 pm, London's Arsenal had no trouble against Blackpool. Two goals from 19-year-old Joseph Willock and another strike from Alex Iwobi secured a 3-0 victory for the Gunners.

The remaining matches ended with Huddersfield's defeat, Crystal Palace's victory, and a draw between Newcastle and Blackburn.
