The English Football Association (FA) has accused Chelsea striker Diego Costa of "violent conduct" during last weekend's match against Arsenal in London.
The 26-year-old Spaniard clashed with Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista, who was later sent off for kicking the striker.
Despite this incident, Costa continued to provoke Arsenal players Laurent Koscielny and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with physical actions.
The Chelsea striker still has the option to appeal by this afternoon, or his actions will be further considered.
Gabriel has also been accused of misconduct, but the potential punishment for both players is still unclear.
Both London clubs will face consequences for not controlling their players.
