FA "Šiauliai" has added its second newcomer of this offseason – the yellow and black jersey will be worn by Nikita Komissarov, who hails from Estonia.
The 24-year-old player has spent his entire professional football career in Estonia and arrived in Šiauliai from the Tallinna "Nõmme Kalju" team, which competes in the top football league of his native country, where they fought for silver medals last season.
The Estonian, who plays in the center of the field, began his professional football career with the Talinna "TJK Legion" team. Later, he moved to the Talinna "Flora" club, but did not wear the main team's jersey and played in the club's youth teams. While playing for Talinna "Flora" U19 and U21 teams, the player appeared in 57 matches, scoring 13 goals and providing 9 assists.
Later on, Nikita played on loan for the Kuresarë "Kuressaare" team, which also competed in the top football league in Estonia, where he scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists in 19 matches.
After his time in Tallinn and Kuressaare, the player's career took him to the city of Viljandi, where he played for 2 seasons with the "Viljandi" team that competed in the highest division. During his time there, N. Komissarov played a total of 63 matches, scoring 11 goals and providing 7 assists.
Becoming the first Estonian in FA "Šiauliai" team history, Nikita has spent the last three years with the aforementioned Tallinna "Nõmme Kalju" team, where he probably had the best time of his career. The footballer played a total of 106 matches, scored 14 goals, and provided 16 assists for his teammates.
The midfielder, who will begin his legionary career in Šiauliai, has also been called up to all youth national teams during his career.
"Hello, Šiauliai! I am happy to join the Football Academy of the City of the Sun. I want to help this organization achieve the highest goals possible and show really good football. Personally, I want to say that I will give everything and more to help this team achieve all the goals set. See you all at the stadium. Let's go, Šiauliai!", said N. Komissarov, who has joined the team.
