FA 'Šiauliai' drew with 'Dainava' club

In the second round of the "TOPsport A Lyga," another high-scoring match took place. Alytaus DFK "Dainava" equalized the score twice away from home and achieved a draw against FA "Šiauliai" –  2:2 (0:1).

At the beginning of the match, the Šiauliai team, which played more actively, took advantage of a mistake by their opponents in the middle of the field and launched a counterattack in the 13th minute. During this, Danielis Romanovskis found Augustinas Klimavičius in the penalty area – the forward directed the ball into the almost empty net.

In the first half, "Dainava" was dull – the only notable moment came from Marko Pavlovskis's long-range attempt, which Gustas Baliutavičius handled. However, in the 47th minute, the Alytus team leveled the score, when Vytas Gašpuitis inadvertently directed the ball into his own net.

Debuting for the visitors, striker Krystianas Okoniewskis actively participated in the match and made a threatening shot. Among the representatives of the Sun City, Eligijus Jankauskas and Gabrielius Micevičius were also close to scoring.

In the final stretch of the match, two goals were scored. In the 82nd minute, Deividas Dovydaitis made a pass to Estonian Nikita Komissarov, who took advantage of his opportunity. However, five minutes later, Denis Ževžikovas, who had also been brought into the game in the second half, made a flawless low shot.

In the remaining time, Benny almost snatched a victory for the hosts, but Volodymyras Krynskis saved his team by denying a long-range attempt and helping "Dainava" secure their first point. FA "Šiauliai" now has a total of 4 points.
